    As a Systems Administrator, you’ll be a point of escalation on a team, utilizing a high level of technical expertise in provisioning, configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure. In this dynamic role, you’ll work directly with clients and team members, participating in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastruture. This environment is very fast-paced, and constantly evolving, so you’ll need to be up for the challenge.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Provide technical assistance to clients

    • Respond using various communication channels including phone, email, remote assistance tools, and in person, on occasion.
    • Research questions using available information resources.
    • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
    • Oversee client networks and systems operations
    • Assist with client and employee on-boarding and off-boarding process
    • Perform software installations utilizing tools, scripts and licenses
    • Troubleshoot network/software issues and set expectations with users for follow up and resolution of issues
    • Identify and document incidents accurately and in a timely manner through our ticketing system
    • Perform software installations utilizing tools, scripts and licenses
    • Keep up to date on user environments, by maintaining documentation and communicating effectively with the end user

    Hold a critical role within a team.

    • Serve as a technical escalation point for team members
    • Assist in the development and growth of the team

    Stay up-to-date on technologies

    • Follow industry and technology trends and best practices
    • Keep current on new hardware and software that may benefit the company
    • Assess new products and systems by evaluating new software to support business strategies, providing proposals, specifications and presentations of new product and configuring needs analysis
    • Pass exams to receive major certification credentials (reimbursement provided!)

    Be flexible to ensure best-in-class support

    • Installations and upgrades are typically outside of normal business hours and occasionally on weekends to minimize impact on clients
    • Early or late start shirts may be required
    • On call rotation within department required
    • Local travel may be required for training and site support (up to 50%

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Microsoft certifications (MCSE) or other major certification required
    • Knowledge and experience working and troubleshooting Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Office suite, and TCP/IP networking and equipment
    • Mac OS knowledge is a plus
    • 2+ years preferred experience in Windows server administration support
    • Previous experience with Windows 2008 & 2012, Cisco UCS, VSPhere/VMware and Active Directory
    • Strong communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to work independently
    • Must have the ability to keep information confidential
    • Must be able to travel out-of-state to project sites (very occasional)

    As an Executive IT Account Manager, you report directly to the vCIO Supervisor.  You’ll perform a variety of duties related to maintaining and enhancing the relationship between key Managed Services clients and Compudyne.  You will be responsible for maintaining open lines of communication between our clients and Compudyne to ensure proper planning of IT resource needs.  You’ll offer financial guidance, and analyze client IT requirements, business system gaps, resolve problems with automation, improve existing procedures, systems and workflows and develop efficient solutions.  Design solutions with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.

    Here are some of the specific responsibilities you will have in this role:

    • Work with Client Leadership to determine right fit for EvCIO clients.
    • Ensure Client below environmental detail is accurate
      • Report packets are updated regularly before Technical Business Reviews.
      • Client documentation is updated in relevant systems.
      • Patch Health scores are in an appropriate state on a regular basis.
      • Maintain an environment where the hardware is under a current maintenance contract.
      • Maintain an environment where the software is under a current maintenance contract.
      • Compudyne Baseline Security bundle is deployed for all EdgePro clients.
    • Promote growth of Compudyne’s recurring revenue product base as it fits within the client’s needs.
    • Meet every quarter with all assigned clients, during which you will review topics such as IT Strategic Plan, Hours Used Report, Patch Health Report, IT GAP Analysis, etc.
    • Ensure client has formal, immediate and mid-term IT-specific budget review process to ensure IT business needs are met.
    • Ensure client has optional IT Steering Committee to set strategic IT direction for the organization.
    • Provide comprehensive IT Strategic Vision packet to assigned client base.  – 1 Year Plan; 3 Year Goal; 5 Year Outlook
    • Build trust-based relationships with key contacts with assigned clients.
    • Consults and works closely with co-workers to ensure development, optimization and implementation of strong solutions:
      • Researches emerging technologies and recommends use
      • Collaborates with co-workers to resolve any problems/situations that may arise
      • Assist in the development of cost benefit analysis for different solutions
      • Documents all work completely and accurately, including solution recommendations and resulting process and procedure documentation
